As a church we seek to support, guide, and walk with each other along the journey of life. Because we believe people were created to be in relationship with God, self, and others, we offer a number of environments for adults (those who are out of high school and beyond) to help cultivate these relationships: smaller groups, larger groups (communities), learning communities (classes), retreats for leaders, mentoring for couples and individuals, and pre-marital classes, to name a few.
Adult ministries exists to fulfill DCC's larger vision of being a holistic, Christian, and missional community.
Adult Ministries values Transformation:
- People transform in different ways and at different speeds. But all people transform as whole beings (body, mind, and spirit) made in the image of God.
- We encourage, support, and equip people to grow in their personal and communal relationship with Christ. As we transform and become more like Christ, learning to live in community as He would, we will show the world his love (Jn 17:23).
- We hope that people transform in Christ-likeness, falling more in love with Christ, and that they meet some friends along the way who may become spiritual partners. One who is consistent, authentic, honest, long-suffering - one who sticks closer than a brother - is invaluable for transformation.
