Inside Ministry Areas

Children’s Ministry

The mission of the DCC Kid’s Program is to journey alongside families in order to educate and prepare children in how to follow Jesus in order to show God’s love. We believe that the best way to prepare a child is to directly teach these biblical truths; provide opportunities for them to practice these truths in the community; and provide role models who will walk alongside them as they learn these truths.

Current Opportunities:

  • Teachers
  • Assistants
  • Check-in Table
  • Administration

Worship

Celebration is one of our Practices at DCC. We celebrate who God is with creativity because we are all created to create, and to make the world we live in more beautiful for our Creator. One way we do this is through music on Sunday mornings.

Current Opportunities:

  • Drummer
  • Experienced Sounds Techs

Facility

Our building is not the church…it is a space in which we meet to learn more about, and serve God. It is a resource we can use to allow DCC and other organizations to use to serve our community. Our prayer is that our building becomes known as a safe place anyone can come to in time of difficulty and need.

Current Opportunities:

  • Cleaning Team
  • Work Teams (repairs, etc.)
  • Grounds Team

Community Care

Our calling is not only to those already in our community, but also those not yet a part of our church. The Community Care area is responsible for meeting all of these various groups at their points of need in the areas of spiritual, emotional, and physical.

Current Opportunities:

  • Greeters
  • Catering/Beverage Team
  • PowerPoint Slide Volunteers

Communication Team

Working as a cohesive body and seeing our Vision and Mission realized begins and ends with solid communication. The impact we can have as a collective group is incredible. We understand this cannot and will not happen without effectively communicating who we are, what we do, and how one can join us in this journey.

Current Opportunities:

  • Writer/Editor/Web content
  • E-mail Communication
  • Creative Production work
  • Research and Develop Welcome Communication in Chapel

Technology Team

Technology is not only necessary – it is mandatory – for communication and to equip staff and the faith community for ministry. These elements, as long as they are chosen and used wisely, expand our effectiveness exponentially.

Current Opportunities:

  • Server maintenance
  • PC Support
  • Security
  • Database maintenance
  • Network maintenance
  • Media development and maintenance

Finance

Financial accountability and transparency are essential in the life of a church. Using the contributions provided by our faith community must be managed with appropriate levels of prayer, thought, and oversight. We feel it is our Biblical mandate to do this well, as an example to our people and our community, about how those who serve God should honor what He has generously blessed us with.

Current Opportunities:

  • Contribution Counters

Sustainability Team

If you're interested in sustainability and how we can be the best steward of our resources to reduce our impact on the environment, please email sustainability@denverchurch.org.

Outside Ministry Areas

Local Missions

Local ministry at DCC is built upon God's many commands to love and serve our brothers and sisters, both believers and non-believers alike. As Christians, we are called to care for fellow humans and to help those in need. At DCC we have done this through partnering with various local organizations.

Our Local Ministry Partners:

  • Joshua Station is a faith-based community helping families make the transformation from homelessness to a healthy stable living environment.
    Contact: Trevor at tnoel@denverchurch.org
  • Park Forest Care Center provides quality care for persons with mental illness, brain injuries and dementia.
    Contact: Mandy at mgidley@denverchurch.org
  • Habitat for Humanity believes that everyone, everywhere deserves a decent place to live. We implement this one home, one family at a time.
    Contact: Kelly at kcampbell@denverchurch.org
  • Extreme Community Makeover's primary purpose is to serve the people in Denver neighborhoods through practical, hands-on help such as yard work, house repair, painting, graffiti removal, general clean up, and other improvement activities.
    Contact: Kelly at kcampbell@denverchurch.org
  • HIV Care Link is an interdenominational HIV/AIDS ministry that believes in the value of every person, holds to the timeless truths of scripture, and is committed to obeying Jesus' command to love all people: actively, tangibly, and self-sacrificially.
  • Goodwill is much more than clothing banks and thrift stores. They assist the community in many ways, including mentoring at-risk youth. This is how we support their organization.

Global Missions

We are currently developing our Global Missions area and our first international ministry experience in the summer of 2009. It will mirror our Local Missions area, only in a global context.

Small Groups

Community Life

Small Groups are smaller communities committed to journeying, serving, and learning together to become more like Jesus. Small Groups are our way of living, studying, and journeying together day-to-day.
